The Many Types Of Leaders Essay - 1569 Words

When you hear the names Martin Luther King Jr, Adolf Hitler, and Alexander the Great what is the first thing that comes to mind? The first thing that comes to most people’s minds is most likely either the holocaust, civil rights movement or a great conqueror, but think about what these three famous people have in common. The one common thing these three men share is that during their time they were extremely successful leaders. Every single one of these men were extremely intelligent. They had the knowledge in how to gain the trust and support of the people as well as to maintain that trust and support. Not only this, but they had the power to accomplish their mission in whichever way they thought was needed. The thing about leaders is that there are many types of leaders that can be successful in many different situations. Philosophers Plato, Cicero, and Machiavelli all lived during different time periods and had different ideology in what the best way was to rule. Although t hey bear similarities, there are many differences between the philosophers.
